This morning I received a call from New York. At the time when they rang me I was still asleep but once they said "Hey this is Ms. Döhler calling from New York" I gave her my full attention actually even more than that. It was the company that I have applied with 2-3 days ago to ask for an internship this summer. I was so excited and after she started speaking in German I was a bit confused. However, she called me to ask to clarify when in summer I have time to do an internship. Finally, after we sorted everything out we were both happy (I was as happy as larry should better say I was over the moon). We will have a telephone conference tomorrow to talk about more in detail with the CEO.
Friday 10/02/2012 The Conference Call
After I got up today I was already very nervous and excited at the same time. When they rang me a few minutes late Mr. Hitt introduced himself and Ms. Döhler was on the conference call as well. They were describing me the job and what I have to do to sort out before that like applying for the visa, find accommodation, etc. After all they said "We are looking forward to see you in June". During the whole phone call I was kind of stunned because it just did not seem real but I am so happy now.
A couple of days later they sent me the contract I signed it and boom internship sorted :)
The internship that I am going to do this summer has encouraged me and increased my motivation to give my best for the upcoming deadlines and exams. Fingers crossed!
